The course\u00a0curriculum includes introduction to:<\/p>\n

    2. Vocal folds examination what professional singers need<\/li>\n
    3. Bed-side diagnosis things to listen to in the absence of camera<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The subjects which are covered include detailed review of the functional anatomy of the Larynx and breathing apparatus (not as a landmarks), referral criteria to Otolaryngologist, points in history taking and more.<\/p>\n

      The course demonstrates how \u201ctouch\u201d therapy can be used for: examination, diagnosis,\u00a0treatment and an additional tool to gather insights and understanding of the patient\u2019s emotional states of mind<\/p>\n

      The course is based on frontal lectures and good deal of practice of Laryngeal examination and introduction to techniques.<\/p>\n

      1. The course combines theory, years of clinical experience in\u00a0practice, and lots of hands on,<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The aim being the\u00a0development\u00a0of sensitive palpatory\u00a0skills so that examination and treatment become \u201ctissue specific\u201d to the level of the individual muscle or joint.<\/p>\n

        The final aim: for participants to have a good knowledge and understanding of the laryngeal mechanisms, and to be able to physically examine the larynx.<\/p>\n

        Once\u00a0palpatory\u00a0skills are at a satisfactory level, specific techniques become\u00a0much more efficient, tissue specific, SAFE and most important, can be tolerated by the voice patient.<\/p>\n

        1. Didactic: laptop, audio amplifying room big enough for participants to move around for the practice part, sitting and\/or lying (on plinths or on yoga mats on the floor, for breathing practice).<\/li>\n
